Conference Venue

Meet our conference venue!

IsarMUN 2024 will take place in Munich, Germany in the district of Pullach, right next to the “Isar”, the famous river that our conference is named after. Different than previous years, we will also have not one but two conference venues: the “Burg Schwaneck”, a scenic castle, and the “Gasthof Rabenwirt”, a beautiful restaurant that also serves as an event venue. We want to celebrate our 15th anniversary with 15 amazing committees. Since this means more space and more rooms, we had to split the conference venue. But – don’t worry – the venues are only 5 min walking distance from another!
Find out more about our two venues on this page!

Burg Schwaneck

The sculptor Ludwig von Schwanthaler had Burg Schwaneck built in the 19th century to realize a childhood dream. After its inauguration in 1843, he used the castle keep primarily for celebrating lavish parties. Nowadays, the picturesque castle with its historic rooms serves as a youth education center and youth hostel. The unique charm of the venue will sure enough capture your attention.
Enjoy a trip back in time while discussing the future at IsarMUN 2024!

Gasthof Rabenwirt

In 1899, the Munich sculptor Josef Heppner, a member of the artists’ group “die Raben”, acquired the inn on the banks of the Isar. This was subsequently renamed “Zum Rabenwirt”. While mostly serving as a hotel and restaurant, the Gasthof also offers a couple of beautiful seminar rooms. From the biggest one, the charming “Blauer Saal” (“blue hall”), you can even catch a glimpse of the Isar river.
